Make Trail Mix!!!
Most moms I know (myself included) hate having a basket full of candy around the house. Having large amounts of candy in the house is not good. Mom’s eat the candy not good. Kids eat the candy not good. Husband does not notice whether it is there or not.
So many moms keep some for a few days and throw the rest away. I thought I would try something different. I feel a bit guilty throwing food away, even if it is “junk” food.
So pick up a big jar and add some almonds, peanuts, sunflower nuts, raisins, coconut, chocolate eggs, pastel colored M&M’s or whatever else you can find. Although most kids can’t take nuts to school, this is nice to have on hand for long car rides, hikes or husband’s lunch bag.
